Spreadsheets often hide risk.

Important workbooks grow over time without documentation. Hidden sheets, broken formulas, external references, and undocumented protections make workbooks difficult to trust, maintain, or hand over. Sheet Audit Pack turns an unknown workbook into a structured review.

Hidden structure
Hidden sheets, rows, columns, and protections can make workbooks difficult to review, audit, or safely modify.
Formula risk
Broken references, inconsistent formulas, and volatile functions reduce confidence in results and increase the chance of silent errors.
Poor handoff readiness
Without documentation, inherited spreadsheets are hard to maintain, explain, or improve — leading to costly mistakes during transitions.

Run a workbook audit in minutes.

Sheet Audit Pack is a sidebar add-on. No installation beyond the Marketplace, no account needed — just open your sheet and start.

1
Open your Google Sheet
Launch Sheet Audit Pack from the Google Sheets Extensions menu. The sidebar opens inside Google Sheets.
2
Choose what to scan
Select the workbook areas and checks you want to include. Toggle individual checks on or off, and choose your output format.
3
Review the report
Generate structured outputs — an Audit Summary, Issues Log, Formula Map, and optional Google Doc report — directly in your workbook.

Sheet Audit Pack checks what matters.

Configurable checks cover the most common spreadsheet risks, from formula quality to governance readiness.

Formula quality
Detect formula errors, broken references, inconsistent formulas, volatile functions, and risky calculation patterns.
Workbook structure
Review hidden sheets, hidden rows and columns, sheet protections, frozen ranges, filters, and structural complexity.
External dependencies
Identify external links, imported data, cross-workbook references, and other external dependency risks.
Named ranges
Find named ranges and review whether they are clear, valid, and useful for workbook maintainability and documentation.
Governance signals
Surface indicators that help with handoff readiness, auditability, and workbook documentation quality.
Configurable scans
Choose which checks to run, which sheets to include, and where reports should be generated.

Clear reports you can act on.

Generated outputs give you a structured view of workbook health, individual findings, and formula coverage — ready for handoffs, client delivery, or internal review.

Audit Summary
A high-level overview of workbook health, key findings, risk score, and recommended next actions — generated as a sheet in your workbook.
Issues Log
A structured list of findings with severity, sheet location, category, and notes. Filterable and reviewable inside Google Sheets.
Formula Map
A review-friendly map of formulas across sheets to support workbook investigation, maintenance, and documentation.
Google Doc Report
An optional document export for client handoffs, deliverables, or internal documentation. Saved to a Google Drive folder you choose.

Designed with privacy in mind.

Reports stay in your workspace

Limited permissions
The add-on requests only the permissions required to scan sheets and generate selected report outputs. No broad account access.
User-controlled execution
Audits run only when the user chooses to start them. The add-on does not run automatically or in the background.

Why permissions are requested.
